2012 Spring Registration
During the months of January and February, the Community Athletic League will hold three registration sessions for the 2012 spring baseball and softball season.
Listed below are the dates and times for baseball and softball sign ups. All sign ups will be held at the Elsmere Town Hall, located at 11 Poplar Avenue in Elsmere, from 10 AM until 2 PM on the following dates.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to register my child with CAL?
Please fill out a 2012 Registration Form, a copy of your childs birth certificate, proof of residency (copy of parent/guardian drivers license or copy of utility bill) and the registration fees.
What divisons does your league offer and what division will my child play in?

What are your fees for the 2012 Spring season?
- T-Ball, Rookie - $85
- Girls Softball - $95
- Minors & Majors - $105
- 13-15 & 16-18 Babe Ruth - $120
What type of payments do you accept at registrations?
We accept cash, check, and credit cards. (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express)
Do you offer discounts for familes with multiple children?
Yes - Families with multiple children in the same household will receive $20 off the cost of registration for the 2nd child, $40 off for the 3rd child and free registration for the 4th child.
Do you have a referral incentive?
Yes - If a returning player refers a new player to the league, the returning player will be given $10. The new player must inform us during the registration process who reffered them.
Will my child be provided with a uniform?
Yes - All players are provided with a shirt, pants, socks and hat. After the season is over, the uniform is yours to keep.
What other equipment will my child need for the season?
Your child will need a glove and cleats. The league does provide each team with bats, but some kids like to bring there own bats.
Will my child need to try out? If so, when and where?
Only if your child will be playing in the Rookie, Minor or Major division will they need to a player evaluation. This is done to try to make the teams as even as possible. Player Elvaluations are scheduled for February 25th and will be held at the Fraim Boys & Girls Club located at 669 S. Union Street in Wilmington.
10:00 am - Major player evaluation 12:00 pm - Minor player evaluation 2:00 pm - Rookie player evaluation
When does practice start?
Practices will begin during the week of March 4th.
When do the games start and when does the season end?
Opening Day is scheduled for April 21st and usually runs until mid June with playoffs to follow.
